Meet some of North East Lincolnshire’s most talented authors at our Litfest book fair who will be at the Festival Finale with their books and latest releases. Take home a signed copy of a new release, chat to the authors about life as a writer and be part of our growing community of literary lovers – all while supporting the brightest of our home-grown talent.



MEET THE AUTHORS...


Danielle Taylor

Danielle’s first book, Sally the Seagull, is a gentle, rhythmic  illustrated children’s book centred around mindfulness published by Hammond House. Sally the Seagull makes her debut at the Festival Finale where Danielle is also running a workshop on writing books for children incoporating mindfulness.

Dr Zoë Marriott

Zoë Marriott wrote her debut YA novel The Swan Kingdom when she was just twenty-one, and went on to publish eight more critically acclaimed, award-winning children's books in the UK with Walker Books and in the USA with Candlewick. She will be signing copies of her latest release, The Moonlit Maze, in association with Grimsby Waterstones at the Festival Finale.

Shaun Allan

Best-selling, award-winning author of psychological horror, emotive poetry and fractured fairytales, Shaun's novel, Sin, was adapted into mobile game Straitjacket Lover and optioned for television.

Rosita Bird

Author of a range of children’s books tackling subjects such as mental health and body image, Rosita has also written books covering family history and the lives of the Grimsby fishing apprentices

Annie Hughes

Aged just nineteen, Annie is the author of three books spanning children’s stories to a psychological thriller packed with twists and turns.

Paul Sutherland

Celebrated Lincolnshire poet Paul Sutherland is the founder of Dream Catcher, an international literary journal whose work has appeared in countless books, newspapers and anthologies. Paul is leading our poetry workshop for local schoolchildren at the Festival Finale themed around ‘helios’.

Mollie Sykes

Mollie’s works often include the weird and wacky, which fits right in with fantasy fiction, her favourite genre. Mollie’s debut novel, Suck It Sister, is a fantasy fiction and available to buy on the day.

Tracy Todd 

Author of The Apex Agenda, Tracy is an accomplished writer and has dabbled in everything from short stories to business books. With a series of published short stories and novels, her work has also featured in Indigo Dreams, Hammond House and Mslexia. Tracy is also running a children’s poetry session for us at the Festival Finale.

Romy Morgan

Romy is the author of the Fallen Feathers series; a magical sweeping queer romance about angels and demons in love set in the beautiful historic city of York. She loves to write magical queer romances full of emotion, found family, and most importantly; soulmates!

Gemma Owen-Kendall

Gemma is a huge supporter for writers within her local area and is currently working on book 2 for her Red Daisy  titled Black Rose, which she is hoping will be released later on this year.
