Join us as we celebrate our talented winning and shortlisted authors - some of whom have travelled from Romania, Australia, France and Hungary to receive their award and be part of the LitFest celebrations at University Centre Grimsby. 

The 2025 Literary Awards Competiion - themed on 'Secrets' - garnered an impressibly high standard of entries across our four categories; Short stories, Poetry, Scriptwriting and Song writing. Entries flooded in from across the globe - from Malaysia and the USA to the Netherlands and North Thoresby - showcasing a diverse mix of incredible writing styles, genres and narratives. Every shortlisted entry gains worldwide publication as part of our illustrated anthologies, Secrets, available to buy at the Festival Finale and online. 

This year, we also have a special category for children from local schools who have written a poem themed on climate change. Winners and shortlisted entries will receive book vouchers as part of a generous bursary from poet Jean Cooper Moran.
