2025 International Literary Prize
This year's competition features cash prizes, Fellowship of the Royal Society for Arts, publication for all shortlisted entries in our annual anthologies, a televised award ceremony and an inspiring new theme song.
Categories included Short Stories, Poetry, Scriptwriting and Songwriting.
Entry fee £10 ( £5 for gold members)
Sponsored by the University Centre Grimsby Art Council England and The Royal Society for Arts, this annual writing competition, now in its ninth year, is open to entries from around the world.
Short Story
1st Prize: £1000
2nd Prize: £100
3rd Prize: £50
Worldwide publication for all shortlisted entries.
ONE Short Story per entry
(1000 – 5000 words)
Preferred format: Arial 12p 1.5 line spacing
Entry fee £10 ( £5 for gold members)

on the manuscript itself, as the contest is judged anonymously.

Poetry

The Song Lyrics winners are published in the Hammond House anthology.
The Recorded Song winner will be played at the 2026 Literary Festival
