Hammond House is a 'not for profit' members' organisation and publishing company, formed and operated by authors, for authors. We aim to bridge the gap between self-publishing and traditional publishing, providing new writers with the help and support they need to establish a successful career.
Originally formed by a group of university students studying for a BA in Professional Writing, we have now grown to include members, contributors and subscribers in twenty five countries across five continents.
Hammond House holds an annual International Literary Prize awarded by the University Centre Grimsby, with cash prizes and publication for the winners. With three categories - short story, poetry and screenplay - the competition has attracted entries from all over the world. To find out more about the competition go here.

Our mission is to support the professional development of talented people across the full spectrum of creative disciplines. The story continues...
